Application Process
Research Canadian universities and colleges and programs that align with your academic interests and career goals. All learning institutions in Canada where international students can study must be designated by the government of Canada (DLI).
Follow the application procedures for each university, including submitting transcripts, test scores (if required), and essays. You might need to have your previous degrees assessed through WES (World Education Services). Once you've submitted your applications, wait for the universities to review your documents and make a decision. You might be eligible to apply for scholarships, grants, funds and fellowships.
If accepted, you'll receive an acceptance letter outlining the program details, tuition fees, and any specific requirements.
Collect the necessary documents, including your acceptance letter, proof of funds, passport, and language test results.
Submit your temporary study permit/visa application online through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) portal.
Once your application is received, you'll be instructed to schedule a biometric appointment at a designated visa application center (VAC). At the appointment, you'll provide your fingerprints and photograph.
You'll receive a decision regarding your study permit application. If approved, you'll receive your study visa.
